Tracy McCurry, department chair for Economics and Business, is the 2021 SCICU Excellence in Teaching award recipient for Erskine College. She earned an M.B.A. from Clemson University and a B.S. in Mathematics from Lander University.
McCurry teaches courses in business administration with a general focus in marketing. Since joining the Erskine faculty in 2010, her classes have been recognized several times in Greenwood’s Index-Journal for projects benefiting the local community. McCurry’s classes have worked with The Renaissance, a retirement community in Due West, as well as Big Oaks Animal Rescue, PAWS, and the Greenwood Humane Society.
McCurry is a certified travel agent and teaches classes in the areas of hospitality and tourism. She also started Erskine’s founding chapter of Sigma Beta Delta, a business honor society, and currently serves as chapter advisor.
Before joining the Erskine faculty, McCurry worked in mortgage banking, financial accounting, non-profit marketing, and manufacturing and quality control engineering.
