A proud graduate of Benedict College, Oyinbo is professionally committed to serving underrepresented communities, evidenced by more than 13 years of instructional and administrative service at HBCUs, including teaching at Voorhees University. He joined the Benedict faculty in 2016, and his courseload includes Introduction to Business, Personal Finance, Business Policy, Investment Management, Advanced Corporate Finance, and International Business at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Oyinbo demonstrates teaching par excellence in the classroom by guiding students in accessing and discovering information rather than acting as their primary source of information. Through an emphasis on experiential teaching methods, including contextual simulations, guided service learning, and leveraged strategic partnerships, he ensures the translation of business principles to applicable professional competencies.
Students’ learning outcomes provide clear evidence of Oyinbo’s teaching excellence. Whether in formal class enrollments or extracurricular initiatives, such as the development of an informal investment club and personal finance training seminars, students remark that he inspires them through his passion in the classroom, advising, and mentorship. Another student gave the ultimate testimony when she stated that “the engagement that a student receives is not just knowing the educational material but having a full understanding of what the educational material is used for, and how it can help outside of college.” A dedicated and innovative educator, Dr. Oyinbo truly represents #TheBESTofBC!
