MACON, Ga. (courtesy auyellowjackets.com) — The Allen University women’s cross country team improved greatly over the 2022 season with a 7th place out of 13 schools at the 2023 SIAC Championships in Macon, Ga. on Oct. 20.

The Lady Yellow Jackets only managed a 12th place finish in 2022, but improved by five places this season finishing the meet with 205 points, just a few points behind 6th place finisher Spring Hill College. Benedict College won the meet followed by Central State. AU finished just ahead of Miles, FVSU and EWU.

Leading the women in the 5K was Autumn Clifton placing 17th in a time of 23:50 while freshman Deborah Boyd then came in 38th with a time of 26:12. Coming in third on the team was freshman Siara Ouattara in 44th place with a time of 26:58 while fellow freshman Caseyona Hight finished 51st in a time of 27:49.
