Allen University Announces First Quarterly Days of Giving Campaign

July 25, 2017 by SC Independent Colleges & Universities

COLUMBIA – Allen University’s Division of Institutional Advancement will host its first Quarterly Days of Giving Challenge August 1-3, 2017.

The money raised will go towards the Allen University General Scholarship Fund to provide tuition assistance for students who qualify for need-based assistance. Nearly 98% of the university’s students receive some form of financial aid, many whom would not otherwise be able to afford a college education.

“Every dollar raised during the three-day challenge will benefit an Allen University student and allow them the opportunity to attain their dream of a college education”, said Nimai Garrett, Director of Alumni Affairs.

The staff will use social media, including Facebook, Twitter, email and other communication formats, to promote the three-day fundraising effort.

Everyone is encouraged to donate online at http://www.allenuniversity.edu/giving to have your gifts counted toward the “Days of Giving” total. Spread the word using hashtag #AUDaysOfGiving on social media to join in on the fun and conversation.

Contact William Robinson, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, with questions at (803) 255-4795 or wrobinson@allenuniversity.edu or Nimai Garrett, Director of Alumni Affairs at (803) 376-5704 or ggarrett@allenuniversity.edu.
