DENMARK, S.C. (courtesy voorhees.edu) — Voorhees University has been approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to offer a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). The MBA program will be offered online, and the first cohort will begin classes in January 2024.
By offering an MBA program, Voorhees University can provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in business administration. This program equips students with a comprehensive understanding of various business functions, including finance, marketing, operations, and strategic management.
Under the new MBA program, Voorhees will offer minors in Human Resource Management and Data Analytics. The minor in Human Resource Management allows students to gain expertise in managing and developing human capital within organizations. This specialization prepares students for careers in HR, enabling them to effectively recruit, train, and retain employees, manage employee relations, and design compensation and benefits programs.
The minor in Data Analytics equips students with the skills to collect, analyze, and interpret data to make informed business decisions. Organizations rely on data analytics to gain insights, optimize operations, and drive strategic initiatives in today’s data-driven world. This minor prepares students to excel in roles related to data analysis, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
“Offering an MBA with these minors allows Voorhees University to provide students with a well-rounded education that combines core business knowledge with specialized skills, preparing them for successful careers in various business domains,” states Dr. Katherine Whitaker, Dean of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
