Voorhees University Pre-Alumni Council receives prestigious awards at UNCF Leadership Conference

April 24, 2024 by SC Independent Colleges & Universities

DENMARK, S.C. (courtesy voorhees.edu) — The Pre-Alumni Council (PAC) at Voorhees University garnered significant recognition at the recent UNCF Leadership Conference held in Jacksonville, Florida, clinching two prestigious awards: PAC of the Year and Advisor of the Year.

The Pre-Alumni Council serves as a vital link between current students and alumni, fostering effective connections and providing opportunities for members to contribute to their alma mater. Under the guidance of President Simya Levine, the executive board, and dedicated advisors, the PAC has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership on and off campus.

In just one year, the PAC has seen remarkable growth, expanding from 11 members to 39 active participants. This growth reflects the council’s ability to inspire and motivate fellow members, enhancing its impact on the broader student body and increasing engagement with fresh ideas and initiatives.

A defining aspect of the PAC’s mission is its commitment to strengthening the bond between current students and alumni. This year, the council prioritized enhancing alumni relations, recognizing the importance of connecting students with alumni for mutual benefit and support.
