SWU hosts second regional literary festival

March 14, 2021 by SC Independent Colleges & Universities

CENTRAL, S.C. (courtesy swu.edu) — On February 19th, students from Southern Wesleyan University, along with others from Clemson University, Charleston Southern University, and West Florence High School presented original poetry and prose as part of the second SWU Literary Festival.

The festival featured pre-recorded performances from students across the state as well as a keynote address from writer and professor Dr. Celeste McMaster. The festival, titled “South Carolina Real & Imagined,” was supported by the SWU College of Arts and Sciences and SC Humanities, a not-for-profit organization that inspires, engages and enriches South Carolinians with programs on literature, history, culture and heritage.

Learn about degrees offered by the Division of Humanities, contact Southern Wesleyan University at 877-644-5556 or visit www.swu.edu.

Southern Wesleyan University is a Christ-centered, student-focused learning community devoted to transforming lives by challenging students to be dedicated scholars and servant-leaders who impact the world for Christ. For details about degree programs, go online to swu.edu.
