HARTSVILLE, S.C. (courtesy cokercobras.com) — Six athletes from the Coker Men’s Soccer Team have been named to the COSIDA Academic All-District Team. Players awarded include Matthew Tricker, Luca Leonini, Colin Serredszum, Gabin Guillou, Felix Stoeffler, and Gustavo Palmieri.
Sophomore and defender, Matthew Tricker from Ipswich, Suffolk, England scored one goal and was named Second Team All-Conference. Tricker earned two points for the season and started/played 17 games. The Exercise Science major has a 4.0 grade point average.
Junior and forward, Luca Leonini from Ameglia, Italy scored two goals and had three assists. Of the 17 games he competed in, Leonini started six. The Political Science major has a 4.0 grade point average.
Senior and defender, Colin Serredszum from Metz, France recorded one goal and two assists for the season. Serredszum also started 15 out of 16 games he competed in this season. The Exercise Science major has a 4.0 grade point average.
Senior and forward, Gabin Guillou from Concarneau, France started in eight and played in 11 games. The Business major has a 3.8 grade point average.
Junior and defender, Felix Stoeffler from Kuerten, Germany started in 16 and played in 17 games for the season. The Business Administration major has a 4.0 grade point average.
Senior and defender, Gustavo Palmieri from Sao Paulo, Brazil recorded three goals and four assists this season, and netted two game-winning goals. Palmieri was also named First Team All-Conference this year and named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team. The senior Business Administration major has a 3.63 grade point average.
