COLUMBIA, S.C. — Eight South Carolina business and civic leaders were elected to SCICU’s board of trustees at the company’s first-ever virtual board meeting on October 7.
New SCICU trustees initially serve a three-year term and are eligible upon board re-election to serve a second three-year term.
SCICU’s eight new trustees (click here to read their profiles) will serve through August 31, 2023:
- Michael Allen – Founder/CEO, MOA Architecture, Inc. (Greenville)
- Kristi Eidson – General manager, Total Comfort Solutions (West Columbia)
- Mark Felk – EVP/Branch manager, Brown & Brown Insurance (Spartanburg)
- Steven Johnson – VP, Enrollment and Inforce Growth Strategy, Aflac (Columbia)
- Dr. Leonard Kupersmith – Retired headmaster, Christ Church Episcopal School (Greenville)
- R. Montague Laffitte III – EVP, South State Bank (Columbia)
- Daniel T. Sulton – Shareholder/Attorney, Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Greenville)
- Caryn Vedane – Senior Branch Office Administrator, Edward Jones (Spartanburg)
Five trustees were re-elected for a second three-year term on SCICU’s board:
- LaJoia Broughton – Government Affairs Advisor, Adams and Reese, LLP (Columbia)
- Ted Gentry – Attorney, Wyche, P.A. (Greenville)
- Brad Love – Shareholder / Attorney, Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. (Greenville)
- James McFadden – Avionics Manager, Interstate Turbine Management (Summerville)
- Dale Willis – Eastern Region President, Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope (Greenville)
