COLUMBIA, S.C. — Education and accounting majors receiving Palmettos Fellows and LIFE scholarships at SCICU member institutions may be eligible to receive up to $2,500 in additional scholarship funding starting their sophomore year. The enhancements are available beginning Fall 2024.
Earlier this year-the S.C. General Assembly passed Act 156 that expands the scholarship enhancements for Palmetto Fellows and LIFE scholarships at four-year institutions to sophomores, juniors, and seniors majoring in accounting or education programs approved by the S.C. Commission on Higher Education.
“Education and accounting majors at SCICU’s member institutions will benefit greatly from the expanded scholarship enhancements,” said Emma Reabold, SCICU vice president for development and campus services. “Focusing more on learning rather than worrying about finances will ultimately help these students contribute towards the continued growth of South Carolina’s economy.”
