Morris College students participate in SCSU’s One-DOT University Transportation Summit

September 22, 2023 by SC Independent Colleges & Universities

SUMTER, S.C. (courtesy morris.edu) — On Sept. 6-7, Morris College students joined with students from South Carolina’s other six HBCUs to learn, discuss, and network around education, careers, research, technology, and partnering opportunities. South Carolina State University hosted the two-day event

Students were afforded the opportunity to learn about the US Department of Transportation, network with various DOT entities, apply for jobs, and acquire internship opportunities.

Also in attendance at the summit was U.S. Congressman James E. Clyburn (D-S.C. 6th District). He encouraged students to participate in the various opportunities presented by the DOT because their talent is important to the DOT workforce.
