Morris College hosts Bishop Rance Allen performance in MLK Legacy Concert

February 20, 2020 by SC Independent Colleges & Universities

SUMTER, S.C. (courtesy morris.edu) — It was a packed house in Neal-Jones Auditorium for Morris College’s first annual MLK Legacy Concert. Dozens of community members, faculty, staff, and students filled every seat in the auditorium to witness the legacy that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. left behind through music and fellowship.

The crowd was moved by performances from the Morris College Gospel Choir and choirs from Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, and others. The Morris College choir performance featured a solo performance by student Zandra McNair.

After delivering an uplifting message, Grammy-nominated artist Bishop Rance Allen performed two singles “Miracle Worker” and “Something About The Name Jesus”, moving the crowd to their feet and inspiring them to always keep faith and to keep God first. A snippet of Allen’s performance can be viewed on Morris College’s YouTube channel.
