GAFFNEY, S.C. (courtesy limestone.edu) — Limestone University is now accepting applications for a visionary leader to serve as the 25th President of the non-denominational liberal arts institution located in Gaffney, SC.
The university announced the formation of its Presidential Search Committee in November. The Limestone Board of Trustees voted in October to move forward with a national search for a new full-time President. Dr. Jim Prevost, a member of the Board of Trustees, was appointed to Chair the committee.
Jeremy Whitaker, Limestone’s vice president for finance & administration, is currently serving as acting president.
More information about the search, along with the application, can be found at limestone.edu/presidential-search.
As the website notes, the Board of Trustees invites expressions of interest for the university’s next president. Limestone seeks a broad-minded, dynamic, collaborative, and innovative leader who will provide leadership and administrative management for all instructional, student services, and administrative operations at the University.
The board, administration, faculty, staff, and students of Limestone seek a person who will lead in an effective and energetic manner providing direction for the university’s future.
The Presidential Search Committee plans to interview highly qualified candidates for consideration by the full board. The Limestone University Board of Trustees will then name a new president.
The website will feature updates throughout the presidential search process.
A survey is available on the website so that all Limestone University stakeholders can provide input on what they would like to see in the future president.
Founded in 1845, Limestone currently enrolls students from 35 states and 28 countries with nearly 600 students living on campus, 420 full-time commuters and over 500 students studying online. The university enrolls more than 400 new students each year.
