Erskine College Athletics announces the Flying Fleet Hall of Fame Class of 2024

August 29, 2024 by SC Independent Colleges & Universities

DUE WEST, S.C. (courtesy erskinesports.com) — Erskine Athletics officially announced its Flying Fleet Hall of Fame Class of 2024 on August 28.

The five honorees to be inducted into the Flying Fleet Hall of Fame are Ford Blanchard (Golf, 2015), George Goudelock, Jr. (Tennis, 1972), Lisa Jackson (Women’s Basketball, 2007), Ralph Polson (Soccer, 1980), Warren Turner (Men’s Soccer Head Coach), and Jonathan Williams (Men’s Basketball, 1998).

The Flying Fleet Hall of Fame Class of 2024 will be inducted as part of the Homecoming ceremonies on Saturday, September 28th, where the six inductees will serve as honorary captains for the football game against Delta State that afternoon and will be honored at halftime of the game. The induction ceremony is a brunch at 10 a.m. in the Founder’s Room in the Moffatt Dining Hall on the Erskine campus.

“This is an outstanding group of stars of the Flying Fleet athletic history. More than just great athletes and coaches, they all have gone on to distinguishing careers that represent Erskine in a positive light,” Erskine Director of Athletics Mark Peeler said. “It is an honor for us to induct each of them in the Hall of Fame Class of 2024.”
