SPARTANBURG, S.C. (courtesy wofford.edu) — The Carolina Panthers announced Dec. 6 that they will hold training camp at their team headquarters in Charlotte in 2024.
“We have enjoyed our special relationship with the Carolina Panthers since the team’s founding,” said Wofford College President Dr. Nayef Samhat. “We will miss having them on campus and the excitement training camp brought to Spartanburg and the Upstate.”
The Panthers had held training camp at Wofford since their inaugural season in 1995, with the exception of the 2020 COVID season. In 2023, the Panthers were one of only six NFL teams to hold training camp away from their facilities and one of only five to be held at a college campus. The training camp relationship was the second-longest in the NFL, surpassed by only Pittsburgh and St. Vincent College.
