SPARTANBURG, S.C. (courtesy converse.edu) — On Monday, March 9, 2020, Converse community members and women from across the upstate gathered in Barnet Room of Montgomery Student center for the 3rd annual President’s Leadership Forum, featuring keynote speaker Katherine Jeter, Ed.D.
Dubbed as “the silver tornado” by her husband of 60+ years and most often identified as “faithful” and “resilient” by her friends, Dr. Jeter shared a motivational presentation on the topic “Two Wheels Have Taught Me This.” Enthusiastic and energetic in her delivery, Dr. Jeter discussed her life experiences as she encouraged the audience that they are never too old or too young to start something new, to have resilience at the ready, and to make it (life) matter. After the presentation, she joined President Newkirk for a fireside chat and Q&A from the audience.
Video from the keynote presentation and photos from the event are available on the Converse website.
