PC also competes in NCAA Division I athletics and is a host site for a Confucius Institute, making Presbyterian College the only private liberal arts college selected for a CI. Study abroad, internships and research are all part of the general education requirements at PC. Semesters abroad and a special Maymester program witness many of PC’s students participating in in-depth study of other cultures. Students at PC participate in internships in many areas, including at “The Today Show” in New York, CNN in Atlanta, the Kennedy Center for the Arts in Washington, DC, and the Genetics Center in Greenwood. The Summer Fellows research program selects PC students to live on campus during the summer and conduct research one-on-one with faculty for a seven week period, receiving free housing and a stipend. With more than 50 student organizations, students at Presbyterian College take on many activities with vigor and enthusiasm, assisting them in developing leadership skills and forming them into servant leaders to serve their communities.
