Coker University launches Distinguished Lecture Series

HARTSVILLE, S.C. (courtesy coker.edu) — Coker University is proud to launch its Distinguished Lecture series for Spring Semester 2024. Featured lecturers include Juan Enríquez as part of the Lois Walters Coker series, Judge Michelle Childs on April 25 as the President’s Distinguished Speaker, and the South Carolina Supreme Court April 29-May 1.

All Distinguished Lecture series events will be held in the Watson Theater and are open to the public.

Juan Enríquez is a Mexican-American academic, businessman, author, and speaker well-known as a leading authority on the economic and political impacts of life sciences. Enríquez will speak on March 19 at 6 p.m.

Coker will welcome Judge Michelle Childs on April 25 at 7 p.m. Judge Childs is an American lawyer and jurist serving as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

From April 29 through May 1, the South Carolina Supreme Court will hear cases on Coker’s campus.
