Coker professor to present at 2022 Southeastern Theatre Conference Convention

December 16, 2021 by SC Independent Colleges & Universities

HARTSVILLE, S.C. (courtesy coker.edu) — Coker University Professor Josh Webb will lead the “No More War Stories” panel discussion at the Southeastern Theatre Conference’s March 2022 Convention. The discussion will explore how experienced professionals and educators can help guide and support students and early career theatre professionals in finding safe and meaningful employment.

The panel will include educators and professionals in the field of theatre representing a variety of experiences. They will explore ways in which the theatre industry needs to change, particularly regarding current exploitative practices towards early career professionals in technical theatre.

The SETC Convention is an annual gathering of over 5,000 theatre professionals, educators, and students. While SETC officially covers a 10-state region, it is truly a national organization and hosts the largest convention of its kind.
