Benedict students and faculty host annual Thanksgiving food drive supporting over 100 families

December 10, 2019 by SC Independent Colleges & Universities

COLUMBIA, S.C. (courtesy carolinapanorama.com) — Benedict College students, faculty and staff provided turkey and dinner items for over 100 families at its annual Thanksgiving Food Basket Give-Away at Antisdel Chapel.

Every year, Benedict College faculty, students and staff host an annual Thanksgiving food drive to ensure that disadvantaged members of the community will not go hungry. The Benedict family raises money and collects food items to distribute to residents of the Columbia Housing Authority on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Benedict College has partnered with the Columbia Housing Authority for over 25 years to help feed families in the community.
