Allen University to host 15th annual UNCF scholarship gala Jan. 31

January 12, 2020 by SC Independent Colleges & Universities

COLUMBIA, S.C. (courtesy allenuniversity.edu) — Allen University will host its signature fundraiser – the 15th annual “A Mind Is…” Scholarship Gala and Richard Allen Awards dinner – on Jan. 31, 2020 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

The gala serves as the university’s signature fundraiser. Through the event, Allen raises scholarship funds for deserving students who attend the university. This gala will include a dinner, live entertainment and dancing. As part of the evening, the Richard Allen Awards will be presented to recipients whose contributions have positively impacted Allen and the greater Columbia area. The award is named in honor of African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church founder, Richard Allen.

Tickets are available through Allen’s Division of Institutional Advancement (phone: 803-376-5725 or gala@allenuniversity.edu).
