Homecoming 2022 — AU Yellow Jacket RB Beau Herrington scored the first TD against Bluefield State with a six-yard run. The Yellow Jackets overwhelmed the Big Blues 50-14.
Allen University President Ernest McNealey and Columbia Mayor Rickenmann led the Homecoming Parade down Sumter Street Saturday morning. The Allen University Band of Gold was joined by the Kingstree High School Mighty Merge Band and more than 80 other participants in the parade.
Homecoming 2022 culminated with the AU Yellow Jackets overwhelming the Bluefield State University Big Blues 50-14. The Yellow Jackets scored four touchdowns in the first quarter using all three phases of offense, defense, and special teams to take a 30-0 lead as Head Coach Teddy Keaton called it a “great team effort.”
The Yellow Jackets will have a bye week before hosting SCICU rival Benedict College Nov. 5.
