About Us
Founded in 1908, Coker College is an independent, comprehensive college with a liberal arts core required of all students. Coker provides quality educational experiences in and out of the classroom that prepare graduates for professional and personal success. A close rapport between students, faculty and staff and the opportunity for students to customize their education are the foundations of the Coker College experience.

Coker has 13 NCAA Division II athletic programs including Baseball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Golf, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Softball, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, and Volleyball. We also have a competitive cheer and dance team. Coker College professor of biology, Dr. Joe Flaherty, was recently awarded the National Science Foundation CAREER Grant in the amount of $500,000.
